Do I have to install anything?
No. Polyz runs in your browser — sign up and you can be writing in the Web Studio a minute later. There's also a desktop app for macOS, Windows, and Linux if you want offline writing and local projects. Same account, same features, and cloud projects sync between the two automatically.
How does the trial work?
Click Start free trial, create an account, and add a card on Stripe Checkout. You won't be charged for 7 days. Cancel before day 7 (from inside the app or via the Stripe customer portal email link) and you owe nothing. After day 7 the card is charged $25.99/month, and the same account works on every device.
Is there a limit on AI usage?
Yes — every AI call (chat, authoring, coaching, summaries) draws from a generous monthly quota that's sized for typical heavy use. Most users never hit it. If you do, AI features pause until your subscription renews; everything else in the app keeps working. You can also buy a one-time top-up pack from inside the app if you want to keep going mid-cycle.
What about AI usage during the trial?
Real LLM tokens cost real money — so the trial includes a reduced AI quota (enough to fully evaluate the AI features before you commit). The moment your first payment clears, you switch to the full monthly quota, which resets on each renewal.
Can I cancel anytime?
Yes. During the 7-day trial, cancel from the desktop app or via the Stripe customer portal and you're never charged. After the trial, cancellation stops the next renewal — you keep access through the end of the period you paid for.
What happens to my data if I cancel?
Your manuscripts, exports, and local editing are never paywalled. If you cancel, you keep full read/write access to your local writing — only the AI features and cloud sync pause until you resubscribe.
Is there a refund policy?
If you're not satisfied, email us within 7 days of purchase for a full refund. After that, prorated refunds are not automatic — Stripe lets you keep access until the period ends.
